Install the mouse driver
1) Press CTRL+ESC to open the 'Start Menu'.
2) Press the vertical arrow keys to select 'Settings', and then the right-arrow key to select 'Control Panel'.
3) Press ENTER. (The 'Control Panel' window appears)
4) Move the cursor to the 'Add New Hardware' icon using the arrow keys, and press ENTER. (The 'Add New Hardware' wizard starts.)
5) If necessary, press TAB to select 'Next' and press ENTER.
6) Press the down-arrow key to select the 'No' radio button, press TAB to select 'Next', and press ENTER.
7) Press the down-arrow key to select 'Mouse' in the 'Hardware types' list, press TAB to select 'Next', and press ENTER.
8) To use the drivers on the Windows 95 CD-ROM:
a) Press TAB to move the cursor into the 'Manufacturers' list box, then use the vertical arrow keys to select the mouse manufacturer.
b) Press TAB to move the cursor into the 'Models' list box, and press the vertical arrow key to select your mouse model.
NOTE: Microsoft mice have the model name written on the bottom of the mouse.
c) If you cannot determine the manufacturer or model of the mouse, select the standard mouse driver.
d) Press TAB to select 'Next' and press ENTER.
e) If necessary, insert the Windows 95 CD-ROM and press ENTER.
9) To install a driver from a diskette supplied by the manufacturer or the Windows 95 diskettes:
a) Press TAB to select 'Have Disk...', and press ENTER. (The 'Install From Disk' dialog box appears.)
NOTE: In most cases, installing the driver from a diskette supplied from the manufacturer is recommended. If you are unable to install the manufacturer's driver, install a compatible driver from the Windows 95 CD-ROM or diskettes, or contact next-level support.
b) In the 'Copy manufacturer's files from' drop-down list box, use the arrow keys to select the drive where the diskette is located, and press ENTER.
c) Follow the manufacturer's or on-screen instructions to install the mouse driver.
10) Press TAB to select 'Finish', and press ENTER. (The 'System Settings Change' dialog box appears.)
11) Press TAB to select 'Yes', and press ENTER.
